At Mothman by Moonlight: Wood and Iron Works, we design and build custom furniture and functional pieces made to be used, not just displayed. Every piece is built by hand in our West Virginia shop, combining traditional woodworking with forged iron accents and a rugged, timeless aesthetic. We don’t work from a catalog. We work from ideas.
What We Do
We build custom, made-to-order furniture and functional pieces, including whiskey barrel bars and cabinets, tables and bar furniture, wall-mounted and free-standing pieces, and forged iron accents and hardware. If it fits our shop and your vision, we’re happy to talk it through.
Our Process
Each build starts with a conversation. We work with you to dial in size, layout, features, and overall style. Materials are selected based on your preferences and availability, and every piece is built one at a time with durability and balance in mind. Natural variation and hand-finished character are part of the final product.
Custom Orders
Custom builds require a 50% deposit to begin work, with the balance due upon completion. Lead times vary depending on project scope and current workload and are discussed before work begins.
